Pool Safety for Toddlers
Moms, Moms 2 Be and Moms In Waiting have you heard of dry drowning? Yes! it is a thing- with dry drowning, water never reaches the lungs. Instead, breathing in water causes your child's vocal cords to spasm and close up. That shuts off their airways, making it hard to breathe. You would start to notice those signs right away -- it wouldn't happen out of the blue days later.
Here are a few tips to maintain your little ones safety in and around the pool area!
Never leave your child alone.
Fence in your pool.
Install a secure gate.
Invest in rescue gear.
Keep your child within arm's reach.
Stay above the waterline.
Don't rely on floaties.
Take swimming and CPR classes.
