Christmas Eve!

There is something so magical about Christmas, the art of anticipation, of pure wonder and belief in tradition! Our daughter was so excited and to only be one, it was such a joy to see her running around the house and preparing the cookies for Santa! The cookie dough did not stand a chance, we had to literally wash hands after each dozen was placed on the sheet pan to deter the “cookie monster” from eating the raw dough. I imagine that it will be well after midnight before she goes to sleep. Once she did, nearly 3 a.m., it was such a “MomE” moment to watch her slumber and nestle with the elf as she awaited her presents! Oh! I pray that she never looses the art of imagination, of believing and most importantly of realizing the benefits of giving far exceed the self gratification of receiving gifts!
