MomE Self Care
Did you know? Self-care encourages you to maintain a healthy relationship with yourself so that you can transmit the good feelings to others. Self-care is not selfish- in fact, it’s one of the best things you can do for your kiddos! Taking a break from family can cause guilt and anxiety in mothers and fathers alike; yet, being on and at the ready for your children at all times can cause burnout and make things that could be everyday treasures feel like everyday chores. Self-care is comprised of 8 main areas- physical, psychological, emotional, social, professional, environmental, spiritual, and financial.
See the list below for ideas on self-care:
Go for a leisurely walk.
Try out a new recipe.
Schedule personal self-care time each day.
Put on a homemade face mask.
Do one thing at a time.
Watch a chick flick (or whatever type of movie you like best).
Listen to your favorite music.
Read a book just for fun, just for yourself.
