The Most Important Nine Minutes of a Child’s Day!

Tips on how we as parents must use 9 minutes each day to connect with our kids before we correct our kids!

  1. Take the first 3 minutes to connect with your child. Ask them how they slept, share a hug or a high-five, and set a positive intentions for the day ahead. This connection can reduce behavioral challenges and foster a positive mindset.

  2. Use the next 3 minutes after school to give your child your undivided attention. Ask them mindful questions like, what was the color of your teachers shoes today. This helps them take the stress off school and strengthens your bond.

  3. Finally, the last 3 minutes before bedtime are precious. Use this time to wind down together. Engage in a calming activity, read a story, or simply have a heart to heart chat. This quiet connection helps your child relax, feel secure and promotes a restful sleep/

By making the most of these 9 minutes throughout the day, you can create stronger emotional connections with your child, reduce behaviral challenges and promote their overall well-being.
