Public Education vs. Home School

MomE Club Family, I thought we would chime in on the conversation after reading this post @paula.schiebschick

“POV: You decided to never get your kids into the school system and now”

• You don’t have to think about enrollment

• You don’t have to rush anywhere in the morning

• You don’t have to worry about bullying

• You are free to travel when the masses aren’t

• You can let go of comparison and competition

• You know they will learn everything they need and more from living life with you

• You are looking forward to mentoring your child instead of watching from the sidelines

• You are excited about your own ongoing journey of learning alongside your kids

Personally, I am pro choice whatever is the best educational option for you and your family. We do intend to home school our daughter for some of the shared reasons above but more over for unique opporunities of travel and cultural exposure that cannot be learned from a classroom environment. I hold true that connection is more powerful that a taught skill.. …
