Survival

MomE Club Family there has been alot of noise around this topic and coincidentally, I came across a post by @drscherina

“Some subtle signs of survival:

  • Eating quickly

  • Always rushing

  • Loss of perspective

  • Ambition feels scary

  • Creativity is clouded

  • Overstimulated by noise

  • Organizing during down time

  • Talking too fast or excessively

  • Mentally planning while resting

  • Difficulty making simple decisions

  • Lots to do, but don’t know where to start

But this is not the final chapter- Moms, Moms 2 Be and Moms In Waiting- YOU can heal!!!

Some subtle signs of healing

  • self compassion becomes easier

  • setting boundaries becomes easier

  • you start advocating for your own needs

  • waking up and getting out of bed is easier

  • having the energy to connect with people

  • you have a higher tolerance for discomfort

  • becoming more organized and decluttering

  • you choose healthier coping tools more often

  • being triggered doesn’t spiral your entire week

  • you’re able to experience a wider spectrum of feelings

  • you’re able to focus on things other than your symptoms

  • you have the energy and motivation to move your body

  • personal hygiene and taking care of yourself becomes easy, a priority

Reading through this post, I was most comforted by the word easier! MomE Club Family- remember the ease of the burden frees you a bit to do more.. and more will eventually turn into a lot! Take time for yourself! -PRIORITIZE yourself!

Healing is not about becoming someone new. It’s about unbecoming and unlearning the survival strategies that cloud you!”
