Hello October!

It is so hard to believe that we are in October already! - just 85 days from Christmas!

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM)

This month is devoted to supporting survivors and those who support them including friends, family, advocates and counselors. It also means we focus our attention on understanding how abuse impacts our relationships and communities.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

This serves as an annual campaign to raise awareness about the impact of breast cancer.

Both of these causes are near to my heart and I hope later in the month you will support initiatives that provide contribution to the advancement of resource allocation for the victims and their families, respectively.

For my survivors I salute you- remember stop giving the abuser and the disease the glory- you survived one or the other or both because your journey already equipped you to handle it!
